Outdoor Activities
At Porters Neck Village the natural world is a central part of our cultural DNA. And you’re never too far from nature on our 58-acre campus with beautiful ponds and miles of lushly shaded walking paths. Everything about our campus invites you to stay active, get outdoors, take in all the sights and sounds of the changing season, and immerse yourself in the refreshing pleasure of one of our many outdoor activities.
Our Gardens
You don’t have to be a gardening enthusiast to love our Village Garden. But if you are one, it will be hard to resist filling your hands with the rich, loamy soil of our raised flower beds. So, put your gardening passion and certified green thumb to use to enjoy every blooming minute free from the sore knees and strained back of traditional gardening.
Walking Trails
Put on your favorite pair of walking shoes, start your favorite step counter, and clear your mind as you enjoy the sights and sounds – not to mention all that fresh air as you step off on our 3-mile walking trail. It’s a great way to stay active, get out and enjoy nature, and an even better way to catch up with your friends.
Putting Greens
You don’t have to be Arnold Palmer or even Arnold Schwarzenegger to have a blast on our Village putting greens. Whether you’re an avid golf or just a dedicated putt putt fan, our putting greens will provide you with plenty of fun.
Fishing
Find yourself spending a quiet afternoon practicing your spin casting skills, then spin a yarn or two to your friends about the one that got away. Either way, our Porters Neck pond is simply an outstanding place to relax and enjoy some quality catch & release fishing.
Central Bark
You’re not the only one who loves to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Help your favorite furry friend have a ball, chase a ball, or just release some energy at Central Bark Dog Park. It’s the new fashionable hangout where our canine friends can get out and socialize while their doting pet parents do the same.
